The Australian Government is investing an additional $85.6M to offer a range of new early-intervention services for Australia’s 2.7 million unpaid carers.
The new services have been designed to assist carers manage their daily challenges, reduce stress and plan for the future. This initiative is to help carers receive the support they need before reaching crisis point.
It has been clearly evidenced that accessing early intervention can make a difference to a carer’s life to reduce emotional or physical strain, assist carers to stay in work or study, take breaks from caring responsibilities, and ultimately improve their health and wellbeing.
